Trainings on understanding and addressing intersections of identity in the modern workplace.

Twin Star a group of Clinical Psychologists who specialize in providing custom trainings on Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace. Co-Owners Dr. Pinder-Amaker and Dr. Wadsworth co-authored Did That Just Happen?! Beyond "Diversity" -Creating Sustainable and Inclusive Organizations

Increasingly, organizations are aiming to increase team diversity across multiple aspects of identity (e.g. Race, Ethnicity, Gender, Age/Generation, Sexual Orientation, Ability Status, etc.). However, few are equipped to carry out diversity and inclusion efforts in a way that is affirming for all. Further, as workplaces are becoming more diverse, the likelihood of conflict due to cross-identity clashes, is likely to increase. Companies that we observe having this best results are those who invest in both internal efforts and external consultation/training. By identifying areas of tension and providing skills to address those tensions, Twin Star brings people together to build skills, recognizing the value of each member, as well as the power of diversity.

Where does our name “Twin Star” come from? The individual and the “other.” Us, them. We often experience the world through a series of dichotomies. Twin Star is simultaneously inspired by both our common humanity, and our complex individuality. We are at once the same, and entirely different. Successful ecosystems are built on diversity and sustained by the retention of members. Thus, we help organizations meet the needs of a diversifying workplace and by doing so, drive profitability through improving company culture.

Twin Stars offer something that many diversity-trainers do not- they were engaging, hands-on, and holistic in their approach.
